For many years, there is an artistic mess in my home 🙂 Paints and brushes took over my place. They are everywhere including my bathroom and my kitchen. I think it is time to deal with it. It is also time to make something for myself. It’s time to organize a craft room 😛

The first step is arranging furniture.
Three years ago I bought old heavy cabinets set in very good condition. The set consists of  four cabinets: one single, one double and two triple part cabinets one with glass. The triple cabinet with glass will be the hero today.

The only drawback of the cabinet is that the previous owner had painted them in black enamel. Looks very depressive and needs a little facelift. When I was buying the cabinet I planned to paint it white. But now my preferences have changed. I see so many furniture remakes with white color recently… I want to try something different.

First I will repaint the part with chests to white color. Usually, one needs a lot of paint to make a change from black to white. I decided to turn only a part with drawers to white and distress it. The rest of the cabinet I will paint to charcoal black color.

Inside the cabinet was decorated with dark bordeaux fabric. The fabric was worn and  I took out the back of the cabinet and got rid of the fabric. Here is how the cabinet looked before the metamorphosis :

Nice accent; rust imitation on cabinet knobs.

The part with drawers I painted with acrylic paint, and the for the rest of the cabinet I used chalky acrylic Vintage Paint (by Daily ART) That was the first time I used Vintage Paint for the large surface and I’m pleasantly surprised. I felt in love with the color Charcoal Black Vintage Paint Daily ART.  And I used only 200 ml of chalky paint for the whole project 🙂 200ml !!!!!!!!!

I will definitely do more makeovers with this amazing Charcoal Black color. But at the same time… I feel I need to use more colors for the next cabinet from this set. Let it be so! In my next article, I’ll show you what the next cabinet will turn into.

Looks like I’ll have some crazy color studio 😀
