Daily ART Silk Paint is non-toxic, waterbased brilliant flowing water-based paint for silk and other natural fabrics fixed by ironing. Lightfast and intensive intermixable colors. You can mix Silk Paint with water to make a color less intensive, not more than 10% to maintain the durability of decorated object.
What is the difference between Daily ART Fabric Paint and Daily ART Silk Paint?
Fabric Paint is thicker paint for detailed painting. For a background color or flowing effects use Silk Paints.
- Wash silk before painting to remove any softeners.
- Optional. Apply primer for silk for freestyle painting, or apply Gutta outliner. Let dry for 1 hour.
- Paint with Daily ART Silk Paint on fabric and leave to dry for 3 hours.
- Heat set by ironing from reverse side, „silk“ setting. The silk is then washable and dry cleanable.
Thinner for Silk Paint
Water based thinner for Daily ART Silk Paint to dilute the concentrated colors while maintaining wash resistance and lightfastness of silk paint. Add in any proportion to Daily ART Silk Paint and apply to silk.
Water based primer for silk fabric for freestyle painting without Gutta Outliner. The Primer makes the fabric less absorbent and helps to prevent paint spreading. Wash silk before painting to remove any softeners. Apply to the whole surface of stretched silk and leave to dry for 1 hour. Paint with silk paints, leave to dry and heat set with an iron.
Water based gutta outliner – reserve to create a barrier on silk fabric to prevent Daily ART Silk Paints from running into each other while painting on. Wash silk before painting to remove any softeners. Apply outliner to silk and allow to dry. Paint with Daily ART Silk Paints, leave to dry and heat set with an iron. Wash in warm soapy water. After washing, Gutta will disappear.
